Ingredients
- 45 g (1.6 oz / 1/2 cup) buckwheat flakes
- 1 egg
- 25 g (1 oz) cheese, grated
- a little oil for frying
Instructions
- Cover the buckwheat flakes with boiling water and microwave for 30 seconds to soften.
- Stir the egg and grated cheese into the flakes and mix well.
- Form small patties from the mixture.
- Fry in a lightly oiled skillet until golden brown on both sides. Serve warm.
Tips
- Keep the patties small and thin so they cook through and turn golden on both sides.
- Use a cheese that melts well — it binds the fritters and makes them irresistibly gooey.
- Serve warm with sour cream or yogurt. For more breakfast inspiration, visit Allrecipes.
