Ingredients
- 500 g (1.1 lb) ground turkey
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 bunch parsley, chopped
- Salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, dried garlic
- Vegetable oil
- Butter
- 200 ml (3/4 cup) cream (20%), room temperature
- 150 g (5 oz) mushrooms, sliced
Instructions
- Mix the turkey with onion, parsley, and spices. Form small meatballs and sear in oil 2-3 minutes per side. Set aside.
- In the same pan, melt a knob of butter and brown the mushrooms.
- Pour in the room-temperature cream and return the meatballs.
- Simmer covered on low about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Tips
- Use room-temperature cream so the sauce stays smooth and does not split.
- Do not overwork the turkey mixture, or the meatballs can turn tough.
- For extra flavor, finish with fresh parsley and a pinch of black pepper, and check guides on Allrecipes and Serious Eats for more weeknight cooking ideas.
