This Shrimp in Creamy Garlic Sauce is a restaurant-worthy weeknight dinner that comes together in minutes. Plump shrimp are seared until pink, then folded into a silky garlic cream sauce with melted cheese and fresh parsley. Serve it with crusty bread for dipping, or spoon it over rice or spaghetti for a complete, comforting meal.

Ingredients
- 300 g (10.5 oz) shrimp
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 150 ml (2/3 cup) cream (10%)
- 80 g (3 oz) hard cheese, grated
- Fresh parsley
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Sear the shrimp on both sides over high heat until pink and curled into rings (if pre-cooked, just 1-2 minutes).
- Add the minced garlic and toss well. Pour in the cream, add the cheese and stir until the sauce is smooth.
- Serve on its own with crusty bread, or as a sauce over rice or spaghetti. Don’t forget the parsley.
Tips
- Do not crowd the pan, or the shrimp will steam instead of searing — cook in batches if needed. For another quick shrimp dinner, try the Grilled Shrimp with Lime and Garlic.
- Add the garlic only after searing, so it perfumes the sauce without burning. The Garlic Shrimp Rice Skillet is another easy weeknight favourite.
