Juicy marinated chicken skewers roast over golden potatoes for a fuss-free family dinner. Smoky paprika and soy sauce give the chicken deep flavor, while the potatoes soak up all the savory juices. Serve it straight from the dish for an easy weeknight meal everyone will love.

Ingredients
- 300-400 g (10.5-14 oz) chicken breast fillet
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried garlic
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2-3 tbsp olive oil
- 4-5 potatoes (about 600 g / 1.3 lb)
- Wooden skewers
Instructions
- Soak the skewers in water for 20 minutes.
- Cube the chicken and toss with salt, pepper, paprika, dried garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil; cover and marinate for 30-60 minutes.
- Cut the potatoes into small chunks, season with spices and olive oil, and spread in a baking dish.
- Thread the chicken onto the skewers and place over the potatoes or on a rack.
- Roast at 200 C (400 F) for 45-60 minutes, covering with foil for the first 20 minutes, then removing it to brown. Adjust to your oven.
Tips
- Soak the skewers well so they do not scorch, and cut the chicken evenly so it cooks at the same rate.
- Check the potatoes with a fork before removing the foil; if they are still firm, give them a few more minutes.
- For extra color, brush the skewers lightly with oil before the final browning.
