This shrimp Mimosa layered salad is a festive classic: tender shrimp, grated potato, carrot, egg, and cheese stacked in creamy, colorful layers. It looks beautiful on a celebration table and tastes even better after a short chill, much like our Shrimp and Orange Salad. If you love seafood salads, our Shrimp and Couscous Salad with Avocado is another bright, fresh favorite.

Ingredients
- 2 potatoes, boiled
- 1 carrot, boiled
- 200 g shrimp, peeled
- 2 eggs, hard-boiled
- 100 g cheese, grated
- 60 g mayonnaise
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes, carrot, and eggs until done, then grate everything. Grate the cheese too.
- Peel the shrimp and fry in a skillet with your favorite spices.
- Layer the salad: potatoes, mayonnaise, carrot, mayonnaise, shrimp, mayonnaise, egg, mayonnaise, and cheese on top.
Tips
- Grate the potatoes, carrot, and eggs finely so the layers sit neatly and slice cleanly.
- Fry the shrimp with your favorite spices just until pink — overcooking makes them tough. For guidance on cooking shrimp safely, see seafood guidance from the USDA.
- Chill the finished salad for 30 minutes before serving so the layers set. For another shrimp favorite, try our Shrimp in Creamy Garlic Sauce.
