These honey-garlic glazed chicken breasts are sticky, savory and just sweet enough — the kind of weeknight dinner that has everyone reaching for seconds. Shallow cuts help the glossy honey, garlic and soy glaze soak deep into the meat, while a quick sear keeps the chicken juicy inside. If you are a fan of garlicky chicken dinners like our Chicken Patties with Carrot and Garlic, this glazed version will win you over.
Ingredients
- 2–4 chicken breasts
- Flour for dredging
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Make shallow cuts across the chicken breasts so the sauce soaks in.
- Season with salt and pepper, then dredge the breasts in flour.
- Sear in a well-heated skillet until beautifully golden on all sides.
- Add the butter, minced garlic, honey and soy sauce.
- Stir well so the sauce turns smooth and glossy.
- Simmer the chicken in the sauce over low heat for 10–15 more minutes until fully cooked, spooning the glaze over it from time to time. Serve with rice or vegetables — and for another easy chicken dinner, try our Creamy Rice Skillet with Chicken and Zucchini.
Tips
- Make the cuts shallow — about halfway through — so the breasts stay juicy while the glaze penetrates. The same scoring idea works in our Quick Chicken Schnitzels in 20 Minutes.
- Keep the heat low once the honey goes in; honey burns fast, and a gentle simmer gives you a glossy, not bitter, glaze.
