Three salmon strips braided like challah and lacquered with an orange-honey glaze — this showstopping baked salmon is easier than it looks. The glaze caramelizes into a golden crust while the fish stays silky inside. For another baked salmon favorite, try our Creamy Baked Salmon Pasta.

Ingredients
- 1 salmon fillet
- 1 orange
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cut the salmon fillet into three strips and braid them, tucking in the ends. Salt lightly.
- Place on a grill rack, cover with a lid or foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
- For the glaze, mix the orange juice with the honey and soy sauce.
- Brush the salmon with the glaze every 7 minutes while baking until it develops a golden caramelized crust.
Tips
- Brush on the glaze every 7 minutes — layering it builds that deep, caramelized crust. Allrecipes has great glazed-salmon ideas too.
- Tuck the braid ends under so it holds its shape as it bakes.
- Pair it with a creamy side — our Creamy Salmon Soup with Potatoes and Broccoli makes a lovely follow-up.
