Ingredients
- 250 g (9 oz) spaghetti
- 200 g (7 oz) turkey breast fillet
- 150 g (5.3 oz) cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 tbsp (about 30 g / 1 oz) cream cheese
- 200 ml (6.8 fl oz / about 3/4 cup) heavy cream
- 1 ladle of pasta cooking water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs, to serve
Instructions
- Sear the turkey fillet in a hot pan with oil over medium heat until half-cooked.
- Season with salt and pepper, then add the halved cherry tomatoes.
- Stir well and add the spoonful of cream cheese until it melts into the sauce.
- Pour in a ladle of the pasta cooking water and the cream; stir to combine.
- Add the cooked spaghetti and toss until every strand is coated.
- Finish with plenty of fresh herbs and serve right away.
Tips
- Do not overcook the turkey in the first step; it will finish cooking gently in the creamy sauce.
- Reserve the pasta water before draining — its starch is what makes the sauce silky; see Allrecipes for more pasta sauce ideas.
- Serve immediately, while the sauce is glossy and the pasta is hot.
