Sliced stuffed chicken rolls with melted cheese and garlic filling on a plate

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 200 g (2 cups) suluguni cheese
  • 100 g (1/3 cup) cream cheese
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Onion or fresh herbs, chopped
  • For the sauce: 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp mustard

Instructions

  1. Butterfly each fillet, place between plastic wrap with spices, and pound thin.
  2. For the filling, mix 100 g suluguni with the cream cheese, garlic, and onion.
  3. Spread filling on each fillet and roll up.
  4. Whisk the sauce ingredients and pour over the rolls in a baking dish.
  5. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese a couple of minutes before done.

Tips

Pound the fillets evenly so they roll neatly and cook through at the same rate. Seal the rolls seam-side down and do not overfill, so the cheese stays inside while baking.
