This sugar-free millet cake is proof that wholesome ingredients can still deliver a tender, satisfying crumb. Blended millet and eggs form the base, enriched with ghee and nuts, while apple slices keep every bite moist and a drizzle of honey adds the perfect finishing touch. If you enjoy lighter bakes like our Orange Loaf Cake with Citrus Glaze, this naturally sweetened cake deserves a spot in your recipe box.

- 7 g (1 1/2 tsp) baking powder
- Vanilla extract, to taste

- 70 g (1/2 cup) flour of choice (buckwheat flour works well)
- 1 apple, sliced
- Honey and extra nuts, for topping
Instructions

- Add the nuts, flour, ghee, baking powder, and vanilla; mix well.

Tips
- Blend the millet and eggs until completely smooth — any grit will show up in the final texture.
- Buckwheat flour keeps this cake gluten-free, and Allrecipes is a great source of inspiration if you want to experiment with other whole-grain flours.
- Serve warm with an extra drizzle of honey — and if you love fruity cakes, try our Viennese Cherry Cake next.
