This tender cottage cheese casserole with pear tastes like the coziest part of a bakery morning — golden on top, custardy in the middle, and studded with sweet juicy pear. Made with simple ingredients and an immersion blender, it comes together in minutes and bakes into a light, protein-rich treat the whole family will love. If you love cottage cheese bakes, don’t miss my classic cottage cheese casserole.

Ingredients
- 80 g (2/3 cup) all-purpose flour
- 70 ml (1/4 cup + 1 tsp) milk
- 200 g (7 oz) cottage cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 pear, diced
- Sugar to taste
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients except the flour and pear with an immersion blender until smooth.
- Add the flour in portions, gently folding with a whisk. Fold in the diced pear.
- Pour into a baking dish and bake at 180C (350F) for 30 minutes until golden and set.
Tips
- Use a ripe but firm pear so the cubes hold their shape while baking.
- Don’t overbake — the center should be just set and still slightly jiggly when you pull it out; it firms up as it cools. For another fluffy cottage cheese bake, try my fluffy cottage cheese muffins.
- Serve warm with a dollop of sour cream or a drizzle of honey — or pair it with honey cookies with cinnamon and ginger for a full dessert spread. For more baking inspiration, Allrecipes has a wonderful collection of fruit dessert ideas.
