Ingredients
- 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) chicken wings
- 2-3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 200 ml (3/4 cup) BBQ sauce
- Salt and spices, to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the wings well and cut into 3 pieces. Remove any extras and place in a bowl. Add the soy sauce, ground pepper, salt, and a little oil; mix thoroughly.
- Thread onto skewers and grill over gray (ready) coals, turning regularly.
- Transfer the cooked wings to a clean bowl and toss with the thick BBQ sauce. Serve with herbs and garlic if desired.
Tips
- Wait until the coals are gray and ashy before grilling, so the wings cook evenly without burning.
- Turn the wings regularly and brush on the BBQ sauce near the end, so the glaze caramelizes instead of scorching.
