Ingredients
- 2 lavash sheets
- 300 g (10.5 oz) chicken breast, cubed
- Salt, paprika, dried garlic, oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 80 g (3 oz) cheese, grated
- Green onion
- Mayo or sour cream
- 1 egg, beaten
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Season the chicken cubes with salt, paprika, dried garlic and oil; set aside.
- Chop the onion. Mix the grated cheese, green onion and mayo.
- Sauté the onion until golden; add the chicken and cook through.
- Cut the lavash into rectangles. Spread with the cheese mixture, add chicken, fold in the sides and roll.
- Dip each roll in beaten egg and fry on all sides until crisp and golden.
Tips
- Keep the rolls snug but not overfilled so they seal well and fry evenly without bursting.
- Fry in batches over medium heat so the lavash turns crisp and golden without burning. For more crispy chicken ideas, browse allrecipes.com and seriouseats.com.
