Ingredients
- 180 g (6.3 oz) spaghetti
- 300 g (10.5 oz) chicken fillet, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 400 ml (1 2/3 cups) water
- 4 tbsp sunflower oil
- 3 tbsp sour cream, 20% fat
- 100 g (3.5 oz) hard cheese, grated
- 5 cherry tomatoes, halved
- Fresh herbs (parsley)
- Salt, black pepper, Herbes de Provence, and Bolognese seasoning to taste
Instructions
- In a deep skillet, heat the oil and saute the onion. Add the diced chicken, garlic, and seasonings; fry 3-4 minutes.
- Lay the spaghetti over the chicken, pour in the water, and stir in the sour cream. Cover and cook 5-6 minutes.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley, grated cheese, and cherry tomatoes; stir, cover, and cook 4 more minutes until the pasta is tender.
Tips
Break the spaghetti if needed. If your skillet is on the small side, break the spaghetti in half so it fits comfortably and cooks evenly in the sauce.
Do not overcook the pasta. Start checking a minute early — the spaghetti keeps absorbing sauce off the heat. For another creamy pasta night, try our creamy garlic shrimp pasta.
Season in layers. Season the chicken while it fries and taste the sauce before serving, since the cooking water dilutes the seasoning. Find more weeknight dinner ideas at allrecipes.com.
