Ingredients
- 3-4 bell peppers
- 500 g (1.1 lb) ground meat
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 onions
- Spices, salt, ground coriander, smoked paprika, to taste
- For the sauce: 200 ml (3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) water
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
Instructions
- Mix the ground meat with the chopped tomatoes, onions, and spices.
- Hollow out the peppers and stuff them with the filling.
- Place in a baking dish and pour over the sauce.
- Bake at 180C (350F) for 20-25 minutes; after 20 minutes, sprinkle with cheese and bake 5 minutes more.
Tips
- Choose peppers that sit flat so they stay upright and fill evenly in the baking dish.
- Do not overpack the filling; it expands slightly as it cooks and should stay tender, not dense.
