This simple classic tiramisu is all clouds and cream: coffee-soaked ladyfingers layered with a silky mascarpone cream and finished with a dusting of cocoa. No baking, no fuss — just a little patience while it chills into the perfect slice. It is the kind of dessert that looks elegant and tastes even better the next day.

Ingredients
- 250 g (9 oz) mascarpone
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 200 g (7 oz) ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
- 300 ml (1 1/4 cups) heavy cream (30-33%)
- 2 tsp instant coffee
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Beat the mascarpone, cream and powdered sugar on low until thick and fluffy.
- Dissolve the coffee in hot water; let cool.
- Dip the ladyfingers in coffee and layer them soaked-side up in a dish.
- Spread with cream and level.
- Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers.
- Finish with cream — the last layer.
- Chill several hours, ideally overnight.
- Slice, plate, dust with cocoa and serve.
Tips
- Dip, do not soak, the ladyfingers — a quick dip keeps them soft without falling apart.
- Chill overnight if you can; the flavors deepen and the slices cut much more cleanly.
