These sticky BBQ honey wings are sweet, smoky and gloriously messy, baked until the glaze turns glossy and caramelized at the edges. The marinade does all the work — BBQ sauce, soy sauce, honey and garlic — so dinner practically makes itself. Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken wings
- 6 tbsp BBQ sauce or ketchup
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Cut each wing into 3 pieces at the joints.
- Marinate in the BBQ sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper — overnight or a few hours is ideal, but you can bake right away.
- Bake in a hot oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes, judging doneness by color.
Tips
- For extra-sticky wings, brush them with a little extra marinade halfway through baking.
- For safe chicken cooking temperatures, see the food safety guidance from the USDA.
- Let the wings rest for 5 minutes before serving so the glaze sets and clings to the skin. For more wing ideas, browse chicken wing recipes on Allrecipes.
