Ingredients

  • 200 ml (about 3/4 cup) milk
  • 15 g (1 1/2 tbsp) powdered gelatin
  • 200 g (7 oz) soft cottage cheese
  • 350 g (12.3 oz) strawberries
  • Sweetener to taste

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk, stir in the gelatin until dissolved and set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Blend the soft cottage cheese, strawberries and sweetener until completely smooth.
  3. Pour in the gelatin mixture and blend briefly again for an airy texture.
  4. Divide among molds and freeze for 30 minutes until set. Serve, or move to the refrigerator for storage.

Tips

  • Use ripe, fragrant strawberries — they carry the flavor of the whole dessert.
  • Make sure the gelatin is fully dissolved in warm (not boiling) milk so the mousse sets evenly.
  • Serve with extra berries or alongside our Baked Cottage Cheese Casserole with Berries, and find more chilled dessert ideas at Allrecipes.
