Ingredients
- 400 g (14 oz) turkey fillet
- 4-5 potatoes
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 200 g (7 oz) sour cream (20%)
- Fresh dill, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the turkey into strips, the potatoes into cubes, and the carrot and onion into quarters. Mix the sour cream with salt and dill.
- Heat a skillet with oil and sear the turkey over high heat until golden. Add the onion and carrot; fry until the onion turns golden.
- Reduce the heat, add the sour cream and potatoes, and mix well.
- Cover and simmer on low until the potatoes are tender, about 25 minutes.
Tips
- Cut the turkey strips and potato cubes to a similar size so everything cooks through evenly.
- Sear the turkey over high heat without crowding the pan — that’s what gives it that golden, juicy crust.
