Creamy chicken and potatoes is weeknight comfort at its finest. Crispy fried potatoes and juicy chicken strips simmer in warm cream, then get finished with a blanket of melted cheese. It’s in the same cozy family as our chicken in creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients
- 3 chicken fillets
- 7-8 potatoes
- 1 onion
- 150 ml (2/3 cup) cream
- 60 g (2 oz) cheese
- Fresh herbs, to taste
- Sunflower oil, for frying
- Salt, to taste
- Spices, to taste
Instructions
- Cut the potatoes into sticks and fry until half-done; set aside. Cut the chicken into strips and fry in oil.
- Add the onion and spices; fry until the meat browns. Return the potatoes, stir, pour in the warm cream, season, cover, and cook 25-30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with cheese, cover 5 minutes until melted, and garnish with herbs before serving.
Tips
Warm the cream before adding it so the sauce stays silky instead of splitting. Don’t overcrowd the pan when frying — the potatoes and chicken need space to brown properly.
