Crispy chicken wings with roasted potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 kg (2.2 lb) chicken wings
  • 5 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika
  • Pinch of hot pepper
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp dry garlic
  • 4 potatoes

Instructions

  1. Remove the wing tips; add all the spices and marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Dice the potatoes into small cubes. Arrange the wings in a baking dish.
  3. Toss the potatoes in the marinade left in the bowl and add to the dish.
  4. Bake at 180C (350F) for 1 hour.

Tips

  • Spread the wings in a single layer so the skin crisps instead of steaming.
  • Cut the potatoes small and evenly so they cook through in the same hour as the wings.
