Ingredients
- 1 large tortilla
- 200 g (7 oz) ground beef
- 1 onion (yellow or red), sliced
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 2 tbsp burger sauce (or mix of ketchup, mayo and mustard)
- 2-3 pickled cucumber slices
- A few lettuce leaves
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and spread it in a thin even layer over one half of the tortilla.
- Stir the chopped pickled cucumber into the burger sauce.
- Cook the beef-topped tortilla in a hot skillet until the meat is browned, then flip. Spread with sauce, add cheese, cover with a lid for 2-3 minutes until melted.
- Top with tomato, onion and lettuce, fold the tortilla over and cook 1-2 more minutes. Serve hot.
Tips
- Spread the beef thinly and evenly so it cooks through quickly and stays juicy.
- Keep the skillet hot and the lid on while the cheese melts for the best gooey finish.
