Golden, juicy and just a little tropical, these chicken patties are a weeknight winner. Sweet pineapple and melted cheese keep every bite tender, while garlic and a crisp golden crust add savory depth. They come together in one bowl and cook in minutes, making them perfect for busy evenings, lunchboxes, or a relaxed family dinner — much like our Crispy Kefir-Marinated Chicken and Crispy Chicken Toast Pockets.

Ingredients
- 500 g (1.1 lb) chicken breast, finely diced
- 1 egg
- 100 g (3.5 oz) cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp starch
- 150 g (5 oz) canned pineapple, chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves, pressed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Combine the diced chicken with the egg, grated cheese, sour cream, pressed garlic, flour, starch, chopped pineapple, salt and pepper.
- Mix until uniform.
- Spoon into patties and fry over medium heat 5-6 minutes per side.
Tips
- Dice the chicken small and keep the mixture cold so the patties hold their shape in the pan.
- Drain the pineapple well; extra juice can make the mixture too soft to spoon neatly.
- For food safety, cook chicken thoroughly until it is no longer pink inside — see guidance from USDA — and keep the heat at medium so the cheese melts without burning the crust.
