These brownie cookies are what happens when a fudgy brownie meets a chewy cookie — crackled on top, soft and deeply chocolatey inside, and ready in just 20 minutes. With only a handful of pantry ingredients, they are the fastest way to satisfy a chocolate craving. They sit happily alongside our Protein Choco Pies with Marshmallow Filling and a slice of Brownie Cheesecake on a chocolate-lover’s dessert table.

Ingredients
- 160 g dark chocolate
- 40 g butter
- 1 egg
- 90 g sugar
- 120 g flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate with the butter in the microwave or a double boiler.
- Whisk the egg with the sugar and pour into the chocolate.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt; knead into a dough.
- Chill the dough for 20 minutes.
- Roll into 9 balls and place on a baking tray.
- Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 12-15 minutes.
Tips
- Chill the dough for the full 20 minutes — cold dough keeps the cookies thick and fudgy instead of spreading flat.
- Use good dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa) for the deepest flavor. For more quick chocolate baking ideas, browse Allrecipes.
- Do not overbake — the cookies should look slightly soft in the center when they come out; they firm up as they cool. Serve them warm, or next to Bounty Coconut Crepes for a chocolate dessert spread.
