Ingredients
- 350 g (12 oz) crab sticks
- 150 g (5 oz) light hard cheese
- 150 g (2/3 cup) cream cheese
- 1-2 tbsp herring roe
- Cucumber or avocado, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Shred the crab sticks into fibers or grate coarsely. Spread in a thin layer on siliconized parchment, sprinkle with cheese, and bake at 180C (350F) for 15-20 minutes. Let the sheet cool slightly so it releases from the parchment.
- For the spread, mix the cream cheese with the roe and spread over the sheet. Add the thin cucumber slices and roll up.
- You may wrap in plastic and chill briefly to set, or eat right away.
Tips
- Spread the crab mixture as evenly as possible so the roll holds its shape when sliced.
- Chill the roll briefly before slicing for cleaner, neater rounds.
