Golden lavash pizza roll with ham and vegetables, sliced and ready to serve

Ingredients

  • 170 g (1 large sheet) lavash
  • 40 g (3 tbsp) ketchup
  • 40 g (3 tbsp) sour cream
  • 100 g (3.5 oz) cheese, grated
  • 130 g (4.5 oz) ham, diced
  • 110 g (4 oz) tomatoes, diced
  • 60 g (1/4 cup) pickled cucumbers, diced
  • 70 g (2.5 oz) sweet bell pepper, diced
  • 3 g sunflower oil
  • Salt and spices to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven.
  2. Make the sauce: mix the ketchup, sour cream and a pinch of salt (add dried garlic or paprika if you like). Lay the lavash vertically; spread sauce over the top half. Dice the ham and vegetables; grate the cheese. Arrange the filling over the sauce and sprinkle with cheese. Fold the sides inward, roll into a log, moistening the bottom edge with water to seal.
  3. Place on parchment, brush with oil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15-18 minutes.

Tips

  • Do not overfill the lavash, or it will be hard to roll tightly and seal.
  • Let the roll rest for a few minutes after baking so the cheese sets before slicing.
