Ingredients
- 9 tortillas
- 800 g ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- Fresh herbs, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Paprika to taste
- Grated cheese
- Garlic-herb butter (butter mixed with minced garlic and herbs)
Instructions
- Fry the onion until golden.
- Mix the onion with the ground beef, bell pepper, herbs, and spices.
- Cut the tortillas into rectangles.
- Layer: tortilla, beef mixture, tortilla, repeating until assembled.
- Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20 minutes.
- Brush with garlic-herb butter, sprinkle generously with cheese, and bake 10 more minutes until melted and golden.
Tips
- Let the bake rest for 5 minutes before slicing so the layers hold together.
- Do not skimp on the cheese on top — it gives the bake its golden, bubbly crust.
